Relationships & Sex Education

We are an inclusive school and mindful that all aspects of our curriculum may need adapting to ensure access for all our pupils, including those with SEND. Subject leaders are aware of the different ways that adaptations can be made.

In PSHE, adults ensure that pupils with SEND understand the content of the session and are able to respond and contribute. Adults may need to pre-teach, consolidate and/or prepare resources in order to facilitate the learning. Adults may also assist in the recording of the learning responses for a particular session through making jottings of pupils’ thoughts and ideas. They will do this in conjunction with the pupil as appropriate and ensure that this is meaningful by returning to it in future sessions.
