Dear Families,
Firstly, I must thank you for your understanding and many offers of help and support following a tricky start to the school year due to a number of external factors.
Mrs Naylor, of course, remains at home and has been very appreciative of kind words and gifts from various sources. I know that these are making her feel loved and giving her strength.
Mrs Drysdale is recovering from planned surgery and we hope to have her back with us as soon as she is able.
Miss Heffernan is recovering and will continue to be covered, in her absence by Miss Mackie. We have been fortunate to have been able to employ consistent cover and she has got to know the children quickly; supported by Mrs Carroll who we also hope will return next week.
If my memory serves me correctly, we had a slightly tricky start to last Autumn Term. Normal service will resume as soon as possible!
You may be aware, from the news, about new legislation under Benedicts Law, for children with allergies: This is statutory from this September for all schools. All staff have training and we already kept adrenaline pens and inhalers in both our schools in any event so this is not new to us.
We had our flu vaccinations this week and these were done in record time and with no fuss whatsoever which was wonderful! Our school photographs went just as smoothly.
Our children have returned full of beans and ready to learn.
As ever, please feel able to contact one of our team if you have anything you would like to discuss
With every best wish,
Beverley Pawson

Dear Families, Welcome to the end of another week…. You will have or will be receiving communication about our Parents’ Evening. For a variety of reasons, these will take place in both schools at the same time, on Thursday 22nd October. As I can only attend one venue...
